400W Wind Turbine 12V with MPPT Controller


This Introductory wind turbine is perfect for small scale energy harnessing like in a remote shed or boat  or to preheat water for your home. It comes with an MPPT controller which is top of its class when it comes to efficiency.

To charge a 12v Battery the turbine needs to be spinning fast enough to generate more than 12V to initiate battery charge. However with the MPPT controller it uses pulse width modulation along with voltage amplification to start the charging process at much lower wind speeds. Even if the turbine is generating less than 10v it can still manage to charge the battery making it very usefull at locations which are not so breezy.
